PULVERIZE® Weed, Brush & Vine Killer 1 Gallon Concentrate
I've been hearing a lot about herbicides and human health recently. What is the active ingredient in Pulverize Weed Killer for lawns?
Pulverize Weed, Brush & Vine Killer contains the active ingredients ammoniated soap of fatty acids and maleic hydrazide.
So, is this product organic?
No, Pulverize Weed, Brush & Vine Killer is not organic. This uses the same active ingredient as our Weed & Grass killer, but it has the added ingredient maleic hydrazide which is of low acute toxicity. Maleic hydrazide is a plant growth regulator (sprout inhibitor) that acts by inhibiting cell division in plants. It is commonly used to control sprouting of potatoes and onions, so they don't grow after harvest as they sit on grocery shelves.
